Purpose of the Inquiry System

To provide on-line inquiry about the UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Pilot Qualifications certified by the Hong Kong Model Flying Association Limited (the HKMFA). The meaning of the different qualifications may refer to the below information.

Restrictions on Using this Inquiry System

This Inquiry System shall only be used for validating the UAS Pilot Qualifications certified by the HKMFA. Users shall not save, forward or reprint any data contained in this Inquiry System.

The Certified UAS Pilot Qualifications

The HKMFA has devised UAS courses and training, including the all-round UAS knowledge; basic aviation knowledge; flying field and operations risk assessments and analyses; and the safe UAS operations skills and techniques. People who have completed the courses and training are tested and assessed to ascertain if they meet the qualifications that are being recognized by the HKMFA as a certified UAS Pilot. The UAS Pilots who are awarded the HKMFA’s credentials are categorized into 3 classes: (1) Certified Advanced UAS Pilot; (2) Certified Intermediate UAS Pilot; and (3) Certified Elementary UAS Pilot. The credential in the form of a qualification card contains thereon the pilot's name in Chinese and English, the credential number; and issue date.

Certified Professional UAS Instruction Qualification

The HKMFA’s Certified UAS Pilots having been trained by the HKMFA in the UAS teaching knowledge and skills and passed all the relevant instructor qualification examinations are awarded by the HKMFA the Certification and Credential Card of Professional UAS Instructor.
